British pop and rock supergiants Coldplay have confirmed they’re coming to India for a performance in 2025. This will be the band’s second performance in the country, following their appearance at the 2016 Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. This time, Coldplay is gearing up for a solo concert — also in Mumbai.
Coldplay has already covered multiple continents, including Asia, Europe, and North America, as part of the ongoing “Music of the Spheres” tour, which began in 2022. A known appreciator of Indian culture, the band has previously showcased their love by choosing to film the music video for “Hymn for the Weekend” in locations such as Mumbai and Kolkata.

The band’s official page shared the news on Instagram along with the caption, “It’s Official! Coldplay is coming to India in 2025! Get ready, Mumbai the city is about to light up with magic and music!” Fans can catch the band live at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on 18th and 19th January 2025.
Coldplay, formed in London in 1997, has delivered numerous critically acclaimed albums including “Parachutes,” “X&Y,” “Viva La Vida,” “Ghost Stories” among others. Their 10th full-length studio album ‘Moon Music’ is set for an October 4 release! The album is led by the single feelslikeimfallinginlove.
