Bohemian Shore – onedaybear | Indie Rock

Imagined, have you, a night drive on long, winding roads in the middle of an autumn night with the woman you love? The roads morph into streams of thought while the music keeps playing in the background, soundtracking this experience. “Bohemian Shore” by onedaybear is the track I would be listening to. Keep reading to read my review of this track.

There are definite elements of modern music in this track, blended gracefully with old-school rock elements like the harmonised guitar riffs that complement the vocal lines; the drumming in the background maintains a straight, peppy pace with emotive writing. I tend to liken this sound to the likes of Arctic Monkeys, and The Neighbourhood– and this song does enough things similarly while interpreting the sound differently to make it a much easier listen than some of the aforementioned’s tracks, for example.

The production stays beautifully congruent throughout the track, with the vocals being used more like instruments than like voices in the classical sense of the word, and this is something that piqued my interest and kept it for the duration of this whole song. I wish the song went on for longer, as I found myself regularly settling into the rhythm and just enjoying the world it took me to.

There is beautiful saturation going on in the mix, that lends its signature old-school charisma to the sound– and it is hard to imagine this track without the delightfully creamy guitars in what seems like a wide-open space, with the drums mixed front and centre, again borrowing from that old-school sound I referenced. Overall, “Bohemian Shore” by onedaybear is the kind of track I thoroughly enjoyed listening to and reviewing, and I suggest you check it out.
