Deserve You is a mellow and gorgeous indie-folk acoustic piece, featuring soft guitar progressions and a lovely violin chorus. Mark Houston and his duet partner sing a dulcet down-tempo melodic song about commitment and loss. As a vocalist and guitarist, Mark is able to find a certain harmony in the track as he takes you through the personal and emotional journey of evaluating his relationship and realising that he isn’t good enough, and through that revelation recounts the imperfection and imbalance of the situation. It is a passionate song, genuine and heartfelt in its artistry and not unlike an indie-folksy the Fray. Mark Houston is quite the diamond in the rough, check out his latest single here.
