Annabel Grace is an up-and-coming, UK-based singer-songwriter supported by BBC Music Introducing. Annabel taught herself how to play the piano, sing and produce her own music. With various influences such as Flower Power 70s rock, House and Techno, and Pop, Annabel crafts a truly unique sound which she describes as chilled out alt-pop with a little contemporary classical for good measure.
Leave Early is Annabel’s latest release with a really interesting sound. The beat sounds heavily influenced by the progressiveness of House and Techno. The synth creates this wave that seems to hover over the rest of the track, but in the best way. I love Annabel’s voice. Annabel Grace shows incredible mastery in controlling her vocals as well as the production of her track. I really enjoy the little percussive elements not being the most obvious things and this whole patch of what sounds like traffic layered over the bridge. However, the song creates this vibe that just inspires you to move your body around. Leaving Early is a hard bop, there are no two ways about it.
I truly appreciate how well-produced this track is. Annabel Grace has worked insanely hard to be this good at what she does and it shows. Her voice is so strong and powerful and the mix is so well-crafted. I can’t imagine how much time she would have spent on this track, but it was worth it. Don’t just take my word for it, though.
