Painting By Numbers, formed in 2018 by multi-instrumentalists and friends Jamie and Simon, and subsequently joined by vocalist Keit, have released their new track ‘Weakness‘. The song is well-written, with a powerful groove that changes with each segment, and it is well-structured overall. The wording perfectly captures the piece’s dreamlike tone. We see how brilliantly reality-inspired notions are seamlessly weaved into the work with so much desire and compassion. We find ourselves fully immersed in the domain of this great sonic experience as we continue to listen to the wonderful subtle parts of the lyrics. Furthermore, emotive Vocals are given so much significance by the dynamics in the composition.
The Chillwave colour of their music is particularly noticeable in the tune, which sounds incredible. The rhythm, in particular, is the song’s primary driving force, and it constantly shocks us with new changes in each section. Furthermore, the tones of each sample are so uniform that they smoothly merge into the environment. The synthetic textured soundscapes also give the music a lot of energy. I especially liked the bass, which plays a big role in making us feel the song’s impact. The vocal production is extremely amazing, and it really pulls out the dreamy tones. Overall, I’m certain that the first textures will entice listeners into the song, which sound even more tempting when the voices meet the chords.
