Featuring the guest vocalist Summer Lee Carlson, there is a festive, high-adrenaline energy to this song right from the get go. The melodies flow effortlessly into one another, while still being kept in touch with the main motifs of the song by Summer’s smooth, flowing vocals. Right from the very start, we’re put into this synth-play-laden environment, while the rest of the ensemble helps shape this song into an energetic dance/electronic number, with a bit of a pop twist.

The vocals are easily a standout aspect of this track, with voices and layers that transcend registers, and are layered rather nicely to create a warm blanket of sound that continues to envelop the listener throughout the duration of the song. As we move towards the middle of the song, the percussion picks up the pace, and elevates the atmosphere of the song even further.

There is a good amount of play going on in the production department, with liberal use of the reverbs, delays, and vocal lines and ad-libs that make “Searching For Peace” quite the engaging listen, one that you or I could throw onto the radio and enjoy every second of. The mix keeps things tight yet ethereal with great use of atmosphere, managing to image the various elements of the track well, retaining their original character as closely as possible, which is something I quite liked in my time listening to this song.
All in all, “Searching For Peace”, by Steve Sperry: this is the kind of song that definitely. deserves your attention this week, and I enjoyed listening to it thoroughly. Check out the song here!
