Rock, at least the modern interpretation of it, tends to be interpreted in a multitude of emotional makeups– ranging from aggressive, to soft-natured, to happy and upbeat; and “All I Die For”, firmly hits the sweet spot in terms of sounding happy, good-spirited, and pleasant. The song embraces the happy-go-lucky tone from the very beginning, and all the elements in the song are built to reflect that.

Right from the vocals to the carefully-crafted clean guitar melodies, every element of this song is executed to great detail, and dare I say, great satisfaction. The drumming holds the song together like a heartbeat does a life– and throughout the song, I could not help but be reminded of many songs from the blockbuster boy bands of the 00s; and I would be remiss if I said that wasn’t an excellent thing.

The production is as indie pop/rock as indie rock gets– and as a fan of the genre, I really quite appreciated the role of every instrument and mixing decision in making “All I Die For” a great listen. Overall, this song gets my two-thumbs-up recommendation! Check out the song here:
