“Into The Oblast” by Sub Caesar: Vibey, great deep house music

Meet Sub Caesar, the talented Dutch producer hailing from Utrecht, making waves in the music scene with a focus on dance-oriented pop and house genres. With a home studio serving as the creative hub, she has been crafting captivating sounds since 2021 and shows no signs of slowing down. Specializing in Deep, Melodic House, Tech House, and Melodic Techno, her sonic journey is an exploration of rhythmic beats and melodic enchantment. Drawing inspiration from industry heavyweights like Camelphat, ARTBAT, Fisher, Chris Lake, John Summit, James Hype, and A-Trak, she is on a mission to make heads turn and ears groove. On her latest single, “Into The Oblast (When Will You Be Home)”, she brings us a fresh take on deep house. Keep reading for my thoughts!

As a producer and appreciator of deep house music myself, I will note, right off the bat, that producing a good, groovy deep house number is not easy. Far from it, I would say, for you do not have the energy of the sound overwhelming the ears of the listener; and Sub Caesar manage to find their groove daily very early on “Into The Oblast”.

There is a lot of creative production and mixing decisions that permeate the whole track. The vocals are just like the cherry on top the cake, with its catchy melodic lines, its basslines, and so on. The result is a pleasant-sounding deep house number that I found myself enjoying at night, where the rhythm keeps you grooving and moving.
