Skindred is set to hit the road again this autumn for their highly anticipated Smile (Again) UK tour, and they’ve lined up a stellar roster of supporting acts. The Welsh ragga metal band is bringing a mix of emerging and established talent along for the ride, promising fans an unforgettable live experience.
Running from mid-October through November, the tour will feature a rotating lineup of support bands at various stops across the UK. Fans can expect to see performances from rising stars such as As December Falls, Nonpoint, Graphic Nature, Dream State, BLACKGOLD, Scruffy Bear, North Atlas, Deadwax, Redhook, Torus, Native James, Mother Vulture, Motions, and Ward XVI.
Drummer Arya Goggin’s Two Cents
Drummer Arya Goggin explained the band’s motivation behind the diverse and exciting lineup: “We have been mulling over who best to join us on our UK tour this autumn, and as everyone knows, we love to shine a light on new and emerging talent. I am sure you will agree we have some amazing bands joining us for these shows, including the likes of As December Falls, Graphic Nature, Dream State, Torus, BLACKGOLD, Scruffy Bear, North Atlas, and many more. It’s all about supporting the next generation of new talent and keeping music live.”
Not only is Skindred giving a platform to up-and-coming bands, but they are also inviting some familiar faces. The U.S.-based band Nonpoint, who hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will be joining Skindred for select shows. Nonpoint previously offered Skindred their first major U.S. touring opportunity, and now Skindred is excited to return the favor by featuring them as part of the Smile (Again) UK tour.
“It is also about paying it both back and forwards, which is why we are stoked to have the brilliant Nonpoint join us for some shows,” Goggin shared. “When we first rocked up in the USA many years ago, Nonpoint were the band that gave us the opportunity to support them on their U.S. tour. So we are stoked to have them with us for this leg of the tour.”
Skindred, known for their explosive live shows and genre-defying sound, are sure to put on a fantastic performance with such a diverse array of talent in tow. The Smile (Again) UK tour is shaping up to be a celebration of live music, showcasing both established and emerging artists.
