Diveakssh Schae & Asher Reuven Take Music to New Heights with ‘The Sacred Art of Flying’

“The Sacred Art of Flying” stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, the spirit of adventure, and the boundless possibilities of music

In a mesmerizing blend of creativity and adventure, audio nomads Diveakssh Schae (Divi) and Asher Reuven have soared to new heights, both literally and metaphorically, with their latest musical masterpiece, “The Sacred Art of Flying.” The dynamic duo crafted this seven-minute journey of sound while perched at the foothills of the Himalayas in Bir, India, resulting in a unique and captivating music video that pushes the boundaries of both music and experience.

The genesis of this project traces back to Divi’s debut album, “Moments of Clarity,” recorded in a campervan amidst the stunning landscapes of Australia. A chance encounter with guitarist and songwriter Asher Reuven, set the stage for a collaborative musical journey that would lead them to the breathtaking Bir in Himachal Pradesh, India.

The Sacred Art of Flying” is more than just a song; it encapsulates the transformative experience of paragliding through the Himalayan foothills. Divi and Asher drew inspiration from Divi’s own fear-defying plunge into the skies of Bir. The resulting composition, recorded at Vigilatte Cafe, a community space for creatives nestled in the mountains, is a melodic fusion of vocals, harmonica, guitar, and Divi’s signature cinematic electronica, enriched further by the contributions of Australian musicians Adriana Bliss and Michael Diamond.

Crowdfunding campaign to experience the sacred art of flying in Himalayan skies

What sets this project apart, however, is the groundbreaking crowdfunding campaign that accompanied its release. The duo, with the support of their dedicated community, launched a campaign to send listeners in Bir paragliding while immersing themselves in the musical journey of “The Sacred Art of Flying.” In just four weeks, they managed to raise an impressive 80% of their $2,000 AUD goal from 55 supporters, allowing them to send 16 listeners airborne, creating a truly unique experience.

The resulting music video, a compilation of footage from these airborne listeners, offers a breathtaking visual and auditory spectacle. With Airpods on and the majestic Himalayan landscape as a backdrop, viewers are treated to an immersive experience that transcends the conventional boundaries of music videos.

Diveakssh Schae, considers the world his instrument to explore, with the jungles of India as his roots and Australia as his newfound home. His serendipitous reunion with Asher Reuven in Bir, where their creative synergy blossomed, has given birth to a piece of art that resonates not only with the music enthusiasts but also with those seeking Moments of Clarity to pursue their dreams.
