“Blur” brings elements of organic techno, trance, and retains this ethereal, atmospheric quality that persists through the whole song. Once the drums start and the rhythm settles into the steady, dance-floor-friendly cadence that it is, the various elements of the song from the reverbs, the plucks, to the low, gritty basses can be heard resonating throughout the song, listening in this kind of wavy, moving sound that immediately catches the ear.

The production on “Blur” is the easy standout– bringing in elements of voices through the vocal chops, and layering them with the richness of the synths that sit beneath it. There is much fanfare in the mix, too, with tasteful reverbs that bring just the right amount of room into the track, and the master keeps things grooving along with its slick energy and dynamics control.

All in all, electronic music that’s this experimental is of a rare breed– and the skill that it takes to put out a track that experiments and makes the listener groove and dance all at the same time, is a feat quite nicely accomplished by Ficmaro. Check out “Blur” here!
