“Lost And Found”, by Astralix: Energetic dance-happy rhythms

Astralix, the newfound avatar of Gary Dranow, who made his name with his signature Blues-influenced rock, has been hard at work crafting the sound for Astralix– and the last time we talked about him, his debut single, The Rhythm Fills My Soul, I called a banger debut. On his continuing journey, keep reading for my thoughts on how “Lost And Found” fares as his latest release!

The vocal-rich, softer house sound I liked quite a lot last time around finds itself evolved this time, with a necessarily more engaging energy and liveliness to it, on “Lost And Found”. The synths in the background shimmer with the warm pads as the vocals lay the mood for the scene that is to follow– and the energetic kicks and the bassline get one grooving from the first beat.

As we step into the buildup, it’s more so an interlude between the higher-energy sections of this song, in keeping with the style of the original deep house sound, which I found myself a thorough fan of. There is a lot of power in the mix and the production, and over the course of the track, I found myself reaching for the repeat button more than once, which should speak to the quality of production on “Lost And Found”!

Overall, “Lost And Found” by Astralix marks a nice evolution for Gary and his Astralix avatar, and we’re excited to look forward to what he comes up with next. Check out the track here!
