“Listen To My Heart”, by Giuseppe Froio: A pop collection, heartwarming

Giuseppe Froio is a talented singer who has captured the hearts of many with his unique and captivating voice. It is not only his technical ability but also his ability to convey sincere emotions through music. Every song he interprets is a work of art, as presented in “Listen To My Heart”, a collection of 13 songs that we know to have defined music as we know it. Keep reading for my thoughts!

We’ll be taking this a little differently from how we typically do reviews here, and in a twist, the opener to the album is not what we talk about here; instead, it is Giuseppe’s interpretation of “Bohemian Rhapsody”, sung originally by the one and only Queen.

This one song is, in itself, a shining star when it comes to Giuseppe’s deep, raspy voice that conveys an absolute cannonball of emotion in itself, complemented by the faithful reproduction of the instrumentation. This is the kind of theme that continues on other tracks on the album, like “The Show Must Go On”, also by Queen; and all of it comes together to create a reinterpretation that would almost be insulted if one, even erroneously called it a cover; it really is not, but what it is, is a meticulous and painstaking reinterpretation tailormade for us in 2024.

The theme continues on “We Are The Champions”, where Giuseppe’s voice once more comes in handy in propelling the emotive content on “Listen To My Heart”– and it is executed to near perfection here, and found me relishing the music of days gone past. The production and mastering are consistent strong points through the whole album, with great use of soundstage, as well as the fact that the vocals are given the limelight; and earnedly so.
