J.Dewveall or “Jonathon Dewveall” is an American singer/songwriter and musician. Originally from Houston, Texas, he has found his home in Nashville, Tennessee. Jonathon has always been a musician, being a Texas boy, country and folk music runs in his veins. Before going solo, about 14 years ago he and his wife were in a band together called “Dewveall”.
His music can be defined as a blend of 60s-70s folk and country music. Jonathon’s lovely tracks are here for you to make you feel all the emotions.
Dewveall has been persistent by releasing his originals on Spotify and he is back with another masterpiece called “Truth & Trouble”. It’s yet another melancholic piece of art for the hopeless romantics. Talking about the song in detail, it starts with the deep and heavy voice of Dewveall which is followed by the panned electric guitar and bass. The moment “Truth & Trouble” starts playing, it just hits right in the heart. The slow and subtle pace of the song keeps it grounded and enhances the feel. Some snippets of blues on guitar showcase the Texas roots of Dewveall. About halfway in the song, the drums kick in with a light cross-stick pattern followed by a classic organ. The song really lifts at the end where every instrument goes wild and the vocals become so prominent singing the catchphrase “Truth & Trouble” on repetition.
