England based band Simple Sessions released new single “Nakamarra”

Simple Sessions are an amazing collective of musicians from the north of England. The group mostly performs and records together remotely in a studio setting. Their music is a blend of vintage R&B style with modern neon solo sounds. Playing covers songs by artists like Kaiyote, Emily King, Dua Lipa, H.E.R., and many more.

Simple Sessions played their first live show in January 2020 and are keen to play more live shows. They have released a number of singles since their debut in 2019. They are back with yet another masterpiece called “Nakamarra” featuring Mila Lee.

Let’s talk about the song and its ingredients in detail. The song starts with a very cool chord progression on some pads and guitars. A very rhythmic bass line flows along the chord progression giving more life to the intro. A drum roll kicks in the vocals of Mila Lee. Her voice is too smooth and sweet which goes perfectly with the song. The melody of the song is very catchy and funky with a unique chord progression. The intro music is repeatedly featured as it acts as the core of the song. The chorus is very interesting with drums in full swing and powerful vocals. The song is kind of funky and has that R&B touch that makes a nice fusion of both genres.

It’s an interesting experience that Simple Sessions has created with “Nakamarra”. It is must listen if you want to listen to something completely new.
