The Freight is an ardent group of musicians that are making big in the industry. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, the five-piece band has established itself as an emerging modern rock band. Their music is a blend of rock n roll, and blues rock, from the 60s/s70s with hints of modern rock. Inspired by bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Stones, The Police, and many more, The Freight have made their own unique sound.
The Freight has released several singles since their debut in 2020 and having reviewed their single “Overrated”, I know what their music has to offer. They are back with yet another banger called “Cool” featuring Erin Mackenzie. Let’s talk about the song and its ingredients in detail. The song starts with full energy and power on electric guitar, bass, drums, and keys. The intro has this very happy kind of vibe with some pop elements. Soon the vocals of Erin Mackenzie kick in and her voice is very soothing and chill. The melody is great and reminds me of 2000s pop-rock music. The chorus is very catchy and the way it is sung by Erin is so “Cool” and Quirky. The Freight has given its own touch to the music, keeping it basic and simple. A guitar lead right after the bridge gives a lift to the song leading to its end in that “Cool” way.
The Freight has made another banger that exceeds expectations. It is highly recommended to listen to their new single “Cool”
