Wise John is an ardent computer engineer turned, musician. A singer/songwriter, a jazz pianist, and a bold dreamer, Wise John decided to quit his career in computer engineering and decided to pursue music full-time in January 2022. He is an inspired soul, the poetic approach in his lyrics is heavily inspired by Bob Dylan and the big musical arrangements from Electric Light Orchestra. Wise John’s music can be described as a very unique blend of jazz, retro, folk, and country, that only John can explain through his music.
Wise John debuted with an album called “A Wonderful World” in 2021 and since then he has released several singles and is back with yet another musical piece called “MR. Love”.
Talking about the song in detail. It starts with John’s vocals and some pads and in a split second the drums, guitars, and bass kick in with a classic organ. The song becomes so groovy and sounds so beautiful with the choir supporting the vocals. Things take a turn in the pre-chorus, the chord pattern changes into some complex jazz chords, giving a platform for the chorus to lead in. The catchy chorus kicks in with the same melody, singing “Hey, MR. Love” with rich harmonies and a beautiful track. The true genius of John reflects when the bridge comes in only after the first chorus. The whole melody and key changes and a sweet saxophone ride along with it, making the song more cinematic and grander. “MR. Love” has one of the most epic endings, it all comes down to just John’s vocals and the organ giving the song a soft and mellow feel but ending grand with all instruments just playing out loud.
Wise John is a genius, his passion for music is incredible and the way he writes his music is very unique and original. It feels so fresh to listen to such good music. It is highly recommended to listen to the song.
