Anton Commissaris is an ardent music composer, pianist, singer, and musician from San Francisco Bay Area, U.S.A. Anton was interested in music from a very age and was particularly fascinated by jazz. Anton Commissaris has some classical jazz-style songs and is inspired by some of the greatest jazz musicians like Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, and Lennon McCartney’s work heavily inspired to start composing music. While his vocals are heavily inspired by Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, and Donny Hathaway.
Anton Commissaris released his debut ep in 2021 “On A Bright Note” and went to release a couple more eps. He is back with yet another jazzy track called “Straight on Down the Line”. Let’s talk about the song and its ingredients in detail. The song starts with a little riff on electric guitar that leads to the main intro. A drumbeat in a swing pattern with piano and guitars and has very good chord progressions. Soon the vocals kick in with a very groovy melody that flows smoothly. The piano has got some bluesy elements to it that sound so wonderful and artistic. The chorus welcomes a female voice with a quite modern chord progression blending with a swingy bassline and drums. Anton has taken a very interesting approach where the chorus is blended with the bridge which makes a smooth flow of the song. An amazing guitar solo played in slide style lifts the song and leads to the end with the last verse and chorus.
Anton Commissaris is an amazing artist and musician who has phenomenal skills and talent. “Straight on Down the Line” is a very groovy song and is highly recommended to listen to it.
