Supersonica Girl by Roxx Revolt & The Velvets is a song that seems comfortably familiar, but it’s nothing like what we know. The groovy, Rock and Roll song has unmatched energy. Further, the song has a very innovative approach to the sonic experience. The song is nothing like you’ve ever heard before in the genres that the band identifies with, or not. At the same time, the music video (which you should totally check out) takes you back to the golden age of MTV music videos. It is this bewilding freshness that sets apart Supersonica Girl for me.Â
The song Supersonica Girl is wild – its a feast of sounds with riffs on the electric strings, a vibrating bass, and juvenile claps and shakes timed to perfection. The energetic beats get in your head and get you moving in your seat. Moreover, the string work on the song is a treat to any lover of classical rock. The song talks of Tina, and our heroine is a musician herself. But she is also incredibly drop-dead gorgeous, and you know what that does to people around her!
Roxx Barrios was was an independant musician by the name of Roxx Revolt until she met The Velvets. And thank god the four musicians decided to get together! Now the band is based out of Naples, Florida and is blessing the world with their never-heard-before sound that somehow strikes nostalgia in the right spots.
