Religion is the latest single by England-based band Near Death Experience (NDX.) Since forming in 2016, the band has built a reputation for their forceful and emotive live performances.
Religion is more Rock than Soul with its strong electric guitar, and vocals alternating between smooth and screaming. The song’s rhythm and melody, on the other hand, show that it has deep Soul roots. The four-piece band’s sound is described as trippy Rock n’ Soul. Religion fits this description to a tee, and delivers on that exactly.
The song Religion is clearly a homage to their craft from the start. It begins softly and builds to a crescendo with furious electric strings. The singer considers himself a follower of the rhythm, which he regards to be his religion.
