Australian musician Sadiva has just released her latest single, I’ve Been Thinking with Delight Records. This track is a Lo-Fi number with looping hip-hop-style beats. Further, the song has four primary layers including one for the vocals. The most stand-out of these to me is the accordion-like keys which set up a chirpy sound combined with the classy-chipmunk vocals. Additionally, the beat that dominates the sequence, and somewhere in the folds is jingling which gives the whole song a modern vibe.
The refreshing sensation of I’ve Been Thinking has a lot to do with how the artist has a distinctly clear sound. While Sadiva uses the contemporary sound-style, she modifies it to the mood she wants to emulate. This adaptation beats the compromise – the artist captures attention with something that isn’t too far from what you’re used to listening. Yet, there is a layer of refinement and consistency that envelopes the composition. The song also has two remixes out, each a banger, one with Aaron Static and the other with RaptorHandz.
With songs like this one, Sadiva is a definite powerhouse that you should be watching out for kicker beats. This is no surprise with the musician’s track record. Sadiva was recognized as an important player in the Melbourne sampling scene right when she started out. She was immediately spotted for her fierce live performances, a trend she maintains.
