The latest song by hardened RnB artist Shafto, Someone is a bright and uplifting track that urges everyone listening to be their best self. It reminds them to be someone by striving hard and working on their ambitions, and dictates that it is only a matter of time that success comes their way.
Irish mixing master and rapper Shafto is a legend with over sixteen years in the scene. He was one half of the JamNation, alongside his friend and rapper Andy Abstract. He envisioned a solo project back in 2011 while he was based out of Canada. It took some time, but he is working hard in the studio now to bring these songs to life. And his track Someone is initiating this new era of him standing up and standing out with his own style.
The song Someone opens so softly you don’t really trace when it begins. While Shafto delivers his bars in the verses, the Sia-like vocals on the chorus are Molly O’Brien’s. Shafto has a seasoned, smooth delivery, and each verse of his urges you to not give up. He tells you stories of success borne out of failures, being your personal cheerleader through the track. The chorus serves as a great hook with a catchy rhythm, reminding the listener of the message of believing in themselves. After all, it’s the only way to be someone.
