Mitch Lance – Seed | Love grows when planted

Seed from Mitch Lance is a soft, young love indie-pop song with a delightful trap beat in the background. The track layers virant hooks and repetitions, while maintaining a positive and romantic sonic set up. The electronic trap doesn’t have much synth, but offers a nostalgic element. This especially shines through on the bridge towards the end of the song which has a particularly discotheque vibe. Further, the singer’s gentle, soulful vocals smoothly glide on the song to narrate a hopeful desire to watch love blossom.

Mitch Lance is a multi-talented musician; he sing, writes, composes, produces, and arranges music. He is also a soulful vocalist, and has been playing the piano, clarinet, and saxophone since he was only nine. Growing up in Tarrytown, New York, Mitch also had the best mentor one could ask for. His father is songwriter Bobby Lance, co-writer on Aretha Franklin’s platinum hit ‘The House That Jack Built.’

Mitch made the most of his father’s old recording equipment lying around the house, and learnt the art of music making. Following through, he went to the Berklee College of Music to study writing and production. Mitch Lance has been making indie pop and hip-hop inspired music since, having released his first single in 2018. Seed marks his first release of 2022. He’s also set a precedent with his engaging videos which are constantly adored by fans.
