Lavender is the kind of song your lover would play to you in a park in the evening, with the backdrop of a setting sun. Meanwhile, the guitar stays delicate, rooted in that country-folk style, and the vocals move seamlessly between falsetto and chest voice, like a lavender-scented dupatta over your face.
“Before you I couldn’t see and I wouldn’t breathe…here comes my love’s embrace…face to face I see you, you your words your love seeps through…our love fills up all space,” the lyrics don’t hold back. They move straight into devotion, framing love as something that restores, something that gives sight and breath back. It doesn’t question itself, just lets that closeness take over everything around it.

Halfway through the track, the ukele becomes more prominent, its presence adding colour and tinting the track with emotions that pluck your heart. It lifts the softness without breaking it, keeping everything light but full. Finally, this song reminds me of how memory locks itself to scent, how certain moments stay alive through it. Here, love is tied to lavender, the way scent lingers on skin, settling into fabric and air, crawling into spaces, letting memory breathe.

Figuring out my path while actively plotting ten others. Serious about my dreams with somewhat chaotic ambition. Will do anything for cats.
