WHITEFIRE’s “Until I See You (Pt.1)”: Living With Loss Through Hope

WHITEFIRE is an alternative rock artist whose music has long centered on emotional weight, faith, and personal struggle. Previously releasing music under the project PROX, they earned international radio airplay and coverage from Fireworks Magazine and PowerPlay Magazine with the 2018 album Transcend the Skies.

After stepping away from music during a period marked by major life changes and profound personal loss, WHITEFIRE returned with renewed focus. Their latest single, Until I See You (Pt.1), released January 23, 2026, draws directly from that experience, shaped by grief, endurance, and a faith that searches for meaning and hope after the loss of their son Elijah.

Until I See You (Pt.1) opens searching for something—or someone. From the first notes, it carries ache. The lyrics set the scene clearly: “The house is quiet…memories echo, love doesn’t fade.” The rawness of loss, and the sound isn’t soft; it comes at you, and then the words break it apart: “I don’t have answers…heaven holds what I can’t find. Elijah my boy, you’re gone from my arms, but never forgotten.”

Memories litter the song: “Your laughter lingers in the air, I reach for you but you’re not there,” pain and love interwoven. Throughout, it’s clear that the grief is real, but so is the small thread holding it together—faith. The hope that one day, Elijah’s voice can be heard again, that warmth can be felt, drives the song forward.
