Lucian Lacewing, a Bristol-based artist and programmer, debuts with Land of Enchantment, released April 20, 2026. He builds an experimental soundscape using drone layers inspired by Indian classical music, blending sitar and muted trumpet. Moreover, vocal fragments drift through, ghostlike textures hovering in the sound.

Land Of Enchantment opens like you’re walking into another realm. The Indian classical elements give the sound a sacred edge, almost ritualistic. It moves like a lucid dream where you can feel ash beneath your feet. The droning textures are coiled, hypnotising you in place.
As the track unfolds, the layers rise and stretch, making the space wider, heavier. The atmosphere stays dense, and the sound keeps pulling you further in, tightening that sense of immersion. Midway through, the harmonies begin to ascend; fragments circling, lifting everything upward. As the climax builds, the entire track sits on a higher plane, like it’s about to lift off. The chanting also repeats in loops deepening the trance.

The imagery stays physical. I picture feet pressing into moist soil, ash slowly falling from the sky, and there is an energy in the air, tangible. Land Of Enchantment alters the space you’re in. It feels like the spell of enchantment has broken you from the mundane and has opened your eyes to a sense of awakening, a rejuvenation.
