Project Rod Williams, the electro-pop project of Rod Williams, spotlights So Over You, a rock track featuring Tim Condor. First released in 2021 on the album Run Away, the track appears again in 2026 on the album Altered Impact in a new “Altered Impact Mix.” It follows the process of letting go of a toxic relationship, carried by sharp melodies, layered harmonies, and clean production.

So over You opens in a way that feels warm but already fading; memories of giving everything, of believing it was real. Then the lyrics, “Did you return the favor?” crack the scene. The vocals are almost whiny in their nasal tone, but the words slam the door open, letting in the truth you kept out.
From there, the track moves through a kind of restless pacing. You can almost picture someone walking alone at night, replaying every word. “Keeps getting me kicked in the head,” speaks of a betrayal that isn’t distant. The percussion and vocals stay soft and steady, spilling emotion into every line. Subtle electronic textures sit underneath, while layered harmonies quietly fill out the space without pulling focus.

By the time the bridge arrives, it’s confrontation. Speaking up, deciding to leave, breaking out of something you can no longer fix. And when the chorus comes back, it is loud and certain, a final step forward. So over You ends like finally snapping and walking away without looking back.

Figuring out my path while actively plotting ten others. Serious about my dreams with somewhat chaotic ambition. Will do anything for cats.
