About the Artist

Mars_999 is the creative alias of Slovakian musician Juraj Pec, who blends raw, lo-fi guitar tones with smooth analog synths to create a distinctive post-punk pop-ballad sound. Previously the lead singer of Čisté Tvary, he now writes, records, and performs all his music, showcasing a deeply personal style. Drawing inspiration from David Bowie, Nirvana, and Prince, he continues to evolve his artistry. Most recently, he released his single V Zákrutách on August 9, 2025.

Right away, V Zákrutách (meaning, In the Curves) opens with a slightly downcast piano line that immediately sets a reflective tone.
