Fading is a spectacular avant pop ballad from Italian-born London-based vocalist and classical pianist Sara De Sanctis. The song is formidably produced by Jacob Wright and mastered by Shawn Joseph (who has worked with alternative legends like New Order, PJ Harvey), to provide an aural painting to relish in. Fading is the third release by Sara De Sanctis after her soulful debut Serendipity last year and 15 Again earlier this year.
The song commences with some evocative piano by Sanctis and string elements to create a mysterious ambiance. De Sanctis’ stunning soft vocals then drop into this sonic backdrop. We then hear the vocals and energy of the sound gaining traction. Developing over her previous releases, we get to hear some great sonically cerebral electronic atmospheric arrangements.
