Indie alt-prog outfit Fallen Letters will be opening for The Smashing Pumpkins this October in Terraform Arena, Bangalore. Grab your tickets now!
Legendary American rock band The Smashing Pumpkins are set to perform live in India for the very first time as part of their Rock Invasion 2025 tour. The band will play at Terraform Arena in Bangalore on October 11, followed by a performance at Jio World Garden in Mumbai on October 12.
Formed in 1988 in Chicago, The Smashing Pumpkins rose to fame in the 1990s with their distinctive blend of gothic rock, grunge, and shoegaze, cemented by iconic albums like Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. In a statement, the band shared their excitement about finally performing in India, saying,
“We’re thrilled to be finally coming to India, some 36 years after we started in Chicago. Our music has been unmistakably shaped by this great and mighty culture, and so it will be an honor to play for you: and loudly!”
Joining them as the opening act is Bangalore-based indie alternative prog outfit Fallen Letters. Formed in 2023 by vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Vishal Naidu and guitarist Aditya Ramesh, the band is already making waves with their emotionally charged sound. Their crowd-favourite single Remain A Memory has garnered over 120,000 Spotify streams and more than 11,000 views on YouTube. The band just dropped their debut album Mindfractures, and their inclusion in this high-profile tour marks a major milestone in their journey.
Fallen Letters recently took to their social media to announce a one-of-a-kind listening party of their first full-length studio effort for their fans on the 27th of September.
