Helsinki, Finland — Darkglass Electronics has made a bold entry into the multi-effects arena with the unveiling of ANAGRAM, their first-ever all-in-one bass workstation. Known for their high-end bass gear, the Finnish company is pushing boundaries with a sleek, touchscreen-powered unit that blends cutting-edge digital processing with unparalleled tone customization.

ANAGRAM isn’t just another multi-FX pedal. It boasts a hexacore DSP engine, Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) and AIDA-X integration, and over 50 onboard effects. It’s also a visual standout, with a rugged anodized aluminum chassis and a 7-inch high-definition touchscreen—putting tactile control at the heart of the player experience. Six endless rotary encoders give users precision over the vast array of tweakable parameters.

While the ANAGRAM may invite comparisons to the Neural DSP QuadCortex, it carves out its own space with one major differentiator: support for loading Neural Amp Models (NAMs), which allows bassists to access a massive online repository of meticulously captured amp and effect tones—” from analog warmth to futuristic textures.”

“Anagram represents the culmination of years of research and development,” said Marcos Barilatti, Managing Director at Darkglass Electronics. “We set out to create a product that not only pushes the boundaries of bass tone but also inspires musicians to explore new sonic territories.”

Designed with flexibility in mind, the workstation supports 12 blocks in series and 24 in parallel, letting users craft complex signal chains with minimal latency. The pedal features three control modes—Preset, Scene, and Stomp—catering to everything from detailed studio setups to traditional live rigs.

In addition to NAM support, players get a looper, global EQ, a tuner, tempo sync for time-based effects, and an onboard mixer with individual output control for XLR, headphone, and ¼” outs. The rear panel is equally loaded, featuring MIDI, effects loop with expression input, USB-C connectivity, and more. The unit comes with a case and 9V adapter.

Fully integrated with the Darkglass Suite app for deeper editing and IR management, ANAGRAM is a compelling addition to any bassist’s rig—and with a launch price of £899 / $1199, it offers serious power at a competitive price point.

With ANAGRAM, Darkglass Electronics is officially redefining what a modern bass workstation can be. In case you wanna check out more details about functionality: Click here for the manual
