Marvin Muoneké – Santa, I can Explain | Jazzy Christmas

We’ve all been excited for the VMA season, AMA season, Grammy season, but I think my favourite season of the music calendar is Christmas season. Marvin Muoneké is ringing in the Christmas season with his all new single, Santa I can explain. Together with Adam in the Hat, this song is a jazzy, nostalgic conversation between Santa and a bunch of kids. A gifted jazz singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer who was born and raised in Newham, East London, Marvin has a voice heavily influenced by the likes of Nat “King” Cole, Paul Robeson, Billy Eckstine, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Mel Tormé.

Having dubbed himself, “The Young Man with The Old Soul”, this Christmas single is a fun, upbeat conversation of two kids trying to convince Santa to keep them off the naughty list. A song that begins with the usual Christmas sparkle and bells, you find yourself immediately snapping and dancing along to this tune. The instrumentals on this song are so classically jazzy with the trumpets and other wind instrumentals, and the piano that segues in the vocals. The harmonies are playful, and the dialogue makes this song even better.

Reminding you of Nat King Cole, Marvin Muoneké beautiful deep voice will transport you down memory lane and put you in the mood for Christmas. The nostalgia and cheer is high on this one. If you’re a sucker for Christmas music and that feeling of being surrounded by your loved ones during Christmastime, this song is for you.
