The Wattles – The Noise | Spellbinding

The Wattles are a Sydney based indie band out with their new single “The Noise.” The Noise reminded me of the first time someone ever introduced me to indie music. I remember feeling sort of warm comfort, and this song by the Wattles brought that feeling back.
The song eases in with a piano score that has the lead singer’s voice arrives onto. The song has a melancholic vibe that is so perfectly combined with the music, that it leaves you comforted rather than weary. I really appreciate the cohesiveness of the music. It calls on to you and urges you to listen to what voice has to say.

The music and the drumming are gentle and makes you want to watch the Wattles perform this live. This one is definitely going on my playlist. The Noise has the potential to evoke in you a new emotion that you didn’t know existed, and you’d be grateful for it. All their music seems so effortlessly confident and beautiful. The Noise is a hypnotic declaration in Indie-pop and rock that is so carefully measured and engulfs you. This track is an excellent addition to their discography. Through dark ballads and burgeoning Indie rock, the Australia-na band swims around in themes of love, anxiety, environmental chaos.

Additionally, the Wattles remind me of the likes of The War on Drugs and The Rasmus. The Wattles have left me spellbound and waiting for more.
