Jorge Ostos is an indie solo artist, musician and composer. Ostos has stated that he shares a love for composing for film/video. Having composed the score for a short film entitled Gracias, Jorge Ostos has displayed a brilliant ability to create soundscapes using his music alone. Ostos’ music walks the line of bedroom and dream pop, with light ambiances and smooth textures in the atmosphere.
Dream is Jorge Ostos’ latest single, featuring the vocals of the extremely talented Tim Condor. The track features heavy use of synths and pads. The drums and bass are the most prominent instruments in the track, creating a beautiful rhythm section that keeps the listener engaged with the music in a more temporal form. Tim Condor’s immaculate vocals really add a certain freshness to the track with such brilliant vocal control and range. However, I must say that the production work that Jorge Ostos applies to the track is a testament to the magic that goes on in his head. I find the craftsmanship is shown completely in the execution of the track.
The track reminds me of other synth-pop artists like Pond, Tame Impala, and Dayglow. I cannot tell you how much this track just bops. You’re just going to have to listen to it yourselves!
