Grammy-winning singer-songwriter John Mayer is set to perform in India for the first time ever, with a one-night-only concert in Mumbai next year. The show will be produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, the live entertainment division of BookMyShow.
Mayer, 47, expressed excitement over his long-awaited India debut. “India has long been on my list of places to play—not just for the vibrancy of its culture, but for the way music lives in people’s everyday lives,” he said.
“To finally perform in Mumbai feels both humbling and exhilarating.”
Ticket sales for the concert will begin with an exclusive RuPay pre-sale from October 12, 12 PM IST to October 14, 12 PM IST. General ticket sales will open shortly after, starting October 14 at 1 PM IST.
BookMyShow Live, called the concert a “significant cultural milestone,” while noting that, “John Mayer’s music has touched millions, becoming the soundtrack to countless unforgettable moments.”

He rose to fame in the early 2000s after dropping out of Berklee, with breakout albums Room for Squares and Heavier Things, praised for his warm vocals and signature guitar style. Later albums like Continuum and Battle Studies delivered hits such as “Waiting On The World to Change” and “Heartbreak Warfare,” with the latter also featuring a Taylor Swift collaboration, “Half Of My Heart.”
