Trusting the ‘Bells of Silver’ by Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends

‘Bells of Silver’ by Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends felt melancholic. I wish someone in my childhood had guided me the way this song does. That would have saved years of trauma, followed by depression and anxiety. ‘Bells of Silver’ is like how, earlier, the elderly members of the family/community/tribe would pass on their life’s lessons as wisdom to future generations. It was a time when life was slower, deeper, and meaningful. This newly released track by Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends mirrors that era.

The honest and experiential words are beautifully crafted by Arne Floryd, and David Myhr accompanies him in the vocals. Myhr has also co-produced the song, giving it a cosy old-school feel. The song is a soft folk-rock with layers of acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, and has Andreas Quincy Dahlbäck on the drums.

Life is supposed to be a balance of both soft & hard, black & white, pain & pleasure. But in a world where most are running away from pain, seeking pleasure in materialistic gain, the darkness of the night sky is filling up with neon lights, and to be in a rush or being busy is a fashion, song like this is a breath of fresh air.
