My, My! What a voice. It’s been a while I’ve heard such a delectable female vocal. Gentry Blue’s lead singer Lydia Gentry-DeBonis have just won my heart and I can’t stop listening to all the songs! Women fronted rock bands have been a rare phenomenon, but whenever there has been one, it’s been a shining rock. And I sense a powerhouse rock band in Gentry Blue who has just released their new single, ‘Lose No Sleep’.

‘Lose No Sleep’ is enrapturing to the depths of my emotions. Lydia’s eccentric voice is the highlight along with the stirring lines she has written. As I listened to her heavy gestating voice birthing the song somewhere deep within and leaving behind some incredible visible stretch marks, I had a spiritually revelating question. Can the texture of voice mirror the weight of the world we carry in our Life?
Gentry Blue – A Class Apart
Gentry Blue has delivered a masterclass in storytelling through an intensely weaved music. I’m completely immersed in the melodic narrative of the song, as it seamlessly continues from “Tell Me I’m Insane,” released previously. Gentry Blue is more rock than true blue; moreover, their sound is especially distinctive with the addition of the electronic violin! Gentry Blue, a female-fronted rock band, is based in Nashville, USA. The other half of the Gentry Blue Power triplet are Brendan Gentry-De-Bonis & Seam Jannay, both being multi-instrumentalist as per the requirement of the Band. The band is on the verge of releasing their first full-length album this autumn. Meanwhile, until then, they’ll be releasing a song each month. You’ll find their music is all major streaming platforms.
