Our ancestors quite literally got their hands dirty to bring wisdom into the 10-minute delivery app that we now take for granted. We even named the biggest website for material consumption after the world’s largest rainforest, which to me, feels derisive. Pittman’s ‘The Gardener’ pulls the listener into a deep, sentimental longing for the past days that were so simple, slow, and far less chaotic. It stirs the mind into a spiral of wistful regret.
