Cigarettes After Sex reveals an expansive world tour 2024-25. Also announcing their latest album, named “X’s“, which is all set for release on July 12. The tour boasts of performances at renowned venues worldwide, including Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 arena. Further shows across Asia, South America, and the Middle East are anticipated, with details to follow in the future.
‘Tejano Blue’ is the first release from their upcoming album X’s and Cigarettes After Sex have done their magic once again. I call them the ‘break-up’ band who lives to celebrate the intense pain, despair, sadness of two people tearing themselves apart.

As told to ‘The Rock Revival’, Gregory Steven Gonzalez confesses that this album is one of the most brutal. Primarily, the album X’s revolves around a singular relationship that endured for a duration of four years. Gonzalez admits, “I could sit and talk about this loss to someone, but that wouldn’t scratch the surface. I have to really write about it, sing about it, have the music, and then I can start to analyze and learn from it. Or just relive it—in a good way. I don’t have that Eternal Sunshine-thing of wanting to forget.”

While continuing to observe classic pop song structures, Gonzalez has moved away from the prior sonic touchstones of the 50s and 60s, finding himself now drawn to a 70s/80s slow dance. Fans are thrilled and are eagerly anticipating the release of the LP this upcoming July.
