‘Blast Off’ is a Distopian Party Anthem by Alt-Rock Band The Party After

The Party After rips off the band-aid on a never-healing wound with their song Blast Off. The track is themed around the games that the ego plays with human ignorance, so it may help the soul to evolve. Blast off by The Party After takes the detonating route to reveal the dark side of fame, recognition, and stardom. The alternative rock band debuted with a single release on Valentine’s Day 2019 and has since been gaining momentum. The trio, who make up the band, have been longtime friends from Omaha. And they are now on a journey to release their debut full-length album, named “Dopamine Machine”. Its first song Blast Off emits a powerful emotion that hints at the passion and energy devoted to making the album.

The track feels like a defibrillator that jolts the listener straight into the heartbeat of the band’s universe. Jared “Badsquatch” Gottberg, Tony “Bony Tates” Bates, and Derek “Fooligan” Talburt have been friends tipping over a decade. Their sound is fueled by the fiery relationships that have been built over these years of blood, beer, and broken amps. Recorded at the Topetitud Estudios in Mexico City, Blast Off not only is played loud and perfect, but it feels thunderous. Lyrically powerful, the words reverberate with the unmasking of the fake world of fame. Honesty, sarcasm, and rawness strip off the dystopian layers. The way Jared sings this line, “So you wanna be a star. You wanna go real far,” its tone really gets stuck in the head. The satire in his voice echoes nonstop.

Beneath the noise and adrenaline in Blast Off, there’s a thoughtful message about the dark glamour of success and the cost of ambition. The After Party seems to be preparing for an album launch that is bigger, riskier, and more real than ever before. So get ready, as the real party begins after the party.
