The short track starts off with shrill vocals that sound intentionally cold and monotonous at first and grow on you due to the catchy songwriting. The echoed-out vocals take centre stage and the bass beats that follow are really promising. Cailo knows how to play with intensity on the percussion which allows the track to have a consistent chill energy while alternating between bass-heavy and hi-hat heavy sections. I really liked the bowed string work and thought that it added a lot of emotion to the single. The chord progression on the strings act as the backbone for the chorus and keys that follow the core melody in the background is concealed yet effective in enhancing it.

Although the track is short, I thought it had more potential for experimentation with different versions of the melody and song structure. Lyrically “Tell Me” as the title suggests is about the confession of love and the demand for and consequences of reciprocation. It uses repetition as a device on “Tell me that you love me” which acts as the foundation for the catchiness of the lines.
