The percussion on “Keep The Change” is bass-heavy, energetic and grimy. The beat is the highlight of the track, adding intensity and character to it. The whistle tones bring with it an ambience, while the dark keys and subtle ad-libs serve as minor elements that enhance the single. The sound of the coins splattering serves as a clever touch given the title of the track. Structurally the song has only two verses that revert to the chorus each time, with the bell sound amping up the energy of W1ZZY’s vocals.

W1ZZY has rapping ability that is chill and laid-back but never comes off as lazy or unserious. He does not rap extremely fast and takes his time to sit in the pockets of the grooves.
