House From L.E give 80s EDM on “No Time For Playing Games”

House from L.E is a Techno, Trace and House music producer based in Leipzig, Germany. Much of the culture of Techno and House music has been flourishing in Germany and House from L.E is one of the artists contributing and keeping it alive. “No Time For Playing Games” is their debut release on streaming platforms.

I liked that the track starts off by incorporating the ambience of a party by including the voices of people speaking in the background. We are first introduced to the lead vocalist whose voice is vibrant and captivating. The vocals are echoed out along with harmonies in the chorus and this adds to the atmosphere of the track. The bass guitar riff is groovy and over all the production on the strings by House L.E adds a vintage effect. The beats are reminiscent of an older era like the 80s which is enhanced by the use of claps and percussion.  The horns in the bridge were soothing and my favourite addition to the track.

Lyrically the track keeps it simple with the lead vocals singing exactly what the title of the track hints at. She seems to seeking clarity of commitment from a partner as she does not have time to waste.  The lyrics don’t pull focus away from the instrumentation and vocals, which are the highlights of the track to me.

“No Time For Playing Games” by House from L.E flows without much structure making it true to its electronic origins. The twinge-dominant sonic palette reminds one of Daft Punk and Disco. It proves to be a fun track for all those who love 80s disco and want to hear newer renditions of it.
