Falling into View recently released their third single, Things (that I thought might one day be useful). It has been a hugely successful and ceremonial past six months for this newborn. The Americana and Country Pop Band from the beautiful West Midlands of England, Herefordshire, was announced as a BBC Introducing Featured Artist. With their songs played across multiple stations, Falling into View is already a treasure for their audience. Things (that I thought might one day be useful) is a captivating country-folk track about attachments and the freedom in letting go. The song is a peaceful reminiscence of things we collect and forget, only to realise their value lies in the moments we once had them.

Mostly folky in melody and country in theme, the song is sung gracefully by Alyssa Wint. A young vocalist who was also a BBC Introducing artist from Cornwall as a teenager. Written in just a short time, almost a fraction of a day, the story behind the song by lyricist and composer Allan Price is intriguing. While cleaning and packing his house for a move to a new place, Allan had a revelation. He realised how much we humans hoard, objects, emotions, and memories, and how freeing it is to release them. Bernie Eacock adds finesse on lead guitar, and holding the groove is Rob Beavan on bass, their rich tones backing the vocals. Behind it all, Gordon ‘Gordy’ Wint commands the drums, occasionally stepping up to the mic himself. Together, Falling into View synchronises to create a heartfelt piece of music that lingers on.
