Bunch of Ace is a band based in Germany, consisting of twin sisters Alandra and Alessja. The young musicians started songwriting at the age of 13 and have been performing live since they were 14 years old. Dipping their feet into releasing their own music to the world, they bring us their 3rd and latest single “Apple Tree”.

The track starts off with soft ethereal keys and an angelic atmosphere. The acoustic guitar with its expedited strumming is unexpected yet a pleasant surprise as it brings a joyful aura to the previously classical environment. The production on the track is adjacent to what we hear on mainstream pop and is sure to appeal to a large audience of young people. The bridge on the song uses more electronic production and lets vocal harmonies make their presence felt. The instrumentation keeps it simple in order to let the vocal performances shine.
The lead vocalists give a strong vocal performance reflective of their innocence and youth. The songwriting on the track explores the presence of an apple tree in the artist’s lives. Owning a tree and loving it wholeheartedly is described in depth. I thought this subject was extremely endearing and very niche from a lyricist’s perspective.
