Zarooni is a singer, songwriter and musician whose journey began with learning the guitar and progressed to creating his own compositions. The chords that start the track off sound straight from a choir and the synth that follows it aids this angelic sensibility. The strings also have an interesting and tangy tonality that brings a sense of nostalgia making the choice of sonic palette unique and intriguing. The percussion is strong and knows its way around pauses.

The lyricism establishes an intimacy between the singer and a third party that the repetition of the line “Only You Know” cements. The line “Now & Never” emphasises how we only exist in the moment, but the “and” brings in a duality and possibility for coexistence of both outcomes. The desperate request for control leaves much room for interpretation; Is Zarooni asking for control of life? For Self-control? Or control within a relationship? The other person can be interpreted as a romantic interest, Zarooni himself or even a spiritual presence.

The production places emphasis on the vocals and is designed such that Zarooni feels physically close to the listener. This adds a touch of intimacy and makes the lyricism more meaningful.
