Durer’s Dream by Ben Miller and his ensemble is just the beginning of the unravelling of his upcoming album Dweller on the Threshold. The path of many creative people, empaths, the sensitive ones, is that of the dweller on the threshold. These are the durer’s of the world today going through the transmutation, from the chaos to that of peace through the dark night of the soul. Ben Miller’s impending album is a tapestry of sounds of the instruments from the Middle Ages. The theme of this creative evokes the most inquisitive work, Melencolia, by 15th-century German Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer.

Durer’s Dream is the first release of the album, and is a glimmering glimpse of what is to come from the Miller’s ensemble. The initiatory song is mystical and lasts less than 90 seconds. The piece has already aroused curiosity among music enthusiasts for its deep symbolic portrayal of death and human evolution. The album appears to plunge into the melancholic, transcendental realm, exploring the threshold between the real and the spirit. It’s a dive into matters of soul & body, which has been a topic of discussion & experience since humans began thinking.
