Rock with reason!
With just the opening riff, you can imagine entire score of crowds going ape-shit to the rhythm. It is alt-rock bordering metal at its best, and the recording is as tight as it can get. Their single So Serious might have been your favourite till now, but welcome this one. In this single, they shift between tones with great, in-depth lyrics. The pummelling drums play with the guitar riff-accentuating the chugging train like pattern. The instant shift between rhythm styles keeps it fresh, raw yet polished to a degree that makes it seem like they’re veterans. It could remind you of Grohl’s dynamite drumming in the Foo Fighter’s debut album. I’d give anything to hear this The Survival Code play live, for I’m sure they carry that energy like lightning in a bottle. It is infectious, eye-gouging energy that you will hear rarely.
