Sabrina Nejmah is a young emerging artist from Hamburg, Germany. Passionate about composing, writing, and singing, she co-wrote her debut single Deep End with her father. Released on August 1, 2025, the song emphasizes a desire for deeper and more meaningful connections, moving beyond surface level and superficial relationships and the monotony of daily life. The song starts off catchy, with that bouncy, earworm quality. The vocals are slightly slurred, as if she’s singing the lyrics in her head at a party, dancing, smiling, and in the same breath realizing, “You never tell me what you think.” It’s like the dynamic you see in a long-term relationship where two people hang out but never talk about the future. Or in a party-focused friendship where the connection thrives at clubs, concerts, and weekend getaways but goes quiet when the music stops.

Cue the montage: giggling in dimly lit rooms, eating greasy burgers, silly selfies, and oh so much warmth, but it’s surface-level—like in a travel fling. Where every day is an adventure but no deep conversations, no vulnerability, just good vibes on repeat.

However, underneath it all, there’s a growing restlessness. As the lyrics put it, “It was nice to swim together. But there is more than that in life.” The repetition of “another” throughout the song, in lines like, “Another another, another whatever,” drives home the monotony. 

Emotionally, Deep End is bittersweet. Half nostalgic for good times, half aching to break free. It shows how relationships plateau. When the lyrics say, “You can’t give me what I want. New things are coming and ending too soon,”—it feels like the moment she finally stops treading water and starts swimming away.
