Heavy metal giants Pantera played an intimate set last Thursday, 15th August under the name “CFH” referring to their iconic 1990 album “Cowboys From Hell“. The performance took place at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN, a legendary club where the band had played in their early days in the metal scene with a capacity of 1550 people. This was just the night before their show with Metallica at US bank stadium, a venue with an audience capacity of 73,000 people.
First Avenue had announced about the “CFH” performance on Monday. This kept the audience guessing whether this would be a cover band until word started getting out that this would indeed be Pantera themselves.

The audience were in for something huge and rare, as on top of this the Texan metal monsters were joined by two members from Metallica. Guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist/vocalist Robert Trujillo joined the band for the track “Walk“, something fans were not expecting. Pantera and thrash metal titans Metallica have been touring together since last year and will continue doing so till later this month.
Here’s the set list for the show:
“A New Level”
“Mouth For War”
“Strength Beyond Strength”
“Becoming”
“I’m Broken”
“Suicide Note Pt. II”
“This Love”
“Fucking Hostile”
